There are a lot of questions that are still
unanswered even after 2 meetings. I would like to make this a forum for discussion
as well as give information that some may not be aware of. Please feel free to
communicate with the pros and cons because with everything there seems that there should be some. I myself am having a lot of problem finding the pros in this.
Before it is even stated I will tell you
I do not live in either the Town of Chandler or the Township. I was raised in Ohio Township and when the battle started
with the fire department I volunteered to help them and then when this came up I again offered my services to research for
this as well.
I was notified by a Captain of Chandler Fire that doesn't like the department being "drug through the mud" There
is no dragging involved, the trucks are things on their websites (not my fault if their site is out of date or they didnt'
respond to my request for updates), the training is from the state websites, the fact they are brought up is because in the
annexation the town board brought them up, in the Ohio Township the trustee and board brought them into this as
they did Newburgh. It is nothing about the individual departments personaly but I feel that the residents have a right
to know what each have to offer them as far as protection. Yes they all do their best but sometimes your best is
not enough when you are being shoved into enlarging your districts and leaving someone in the dark for coverage. NO
MATTER WHO YOU ARE!
